FAQs
This FAQ is designed to give clear, simple guidance for visitors, members, and anyone looking to get connected at Garden Road Seventh‑day Adventist Church.
What do Seventh‑day Adventists believe?
Seventh‑day Adventists believe that the Bible is the sole foundation of our faith, doctrine, and daily living (sola scriptura). We follow Scripture’s teachings on salvation through Jesus Christ, the Trinity, Christian living, and the hope of His soon return (John 3:16; Titus 2:13).
To explore our beliefs in more detail, please visit our Beliefs ↗ page.
Why do Adventists worship on Saturday?
Adventists worship on Saturday because we observe the biblical Sabbath, the seventh day of the week, established at Creation and reaffirmed in the Ten Commandments (Genesis 2:2–3; Exodus 20:8–11), and practiced by Jesus and the early church (Luke 4:16; Acts 17:2).
We believe the Sabbath is a day of rest, worship, and joyful fellowship with God.
To explore our beliefs surrounding the Sabbath in more detail, please visit our Beliefs ↗ page.
