A Glimpse at God’s Leading
This Garden Road Seventh-day Adventist Church is more than a building. It is a monument to God’s leading and a reminder that He continues to work through His people. Every chapter of our journey has been shaped by His providence. Garden Road has established ministries, supported missionaries, developed leaders, served vulnerable communities, and shared the Gospel throughout Calgary and beyond. Through the sacrificial generosity of members and God’s abundant provision, the church successfully retired its mortgage, allowing the building to stand as a visible testimony of God’s faithfulness and blessing.
Throughout the life of our church, we have experienced seasons of growth, change, celebration, and challenge. We have witnessed marriages and births, welcomed new members into our fellowship, and mourned the loss of loved ones. Through every experience, God has been at work, moulding and strengthening His church for His purpose.
Today, Garden Road Seventh-day Adventist Church reflects the beauty of God’s diverse family. Members from many nations worship together as one body in Christ. This rich diversity is celebrated through International Sabbaths, multicultural fellowship events, and partnerships with various communities and ministries. Garden Road continues to support emerging congregations, community food initiatives, disaster response efforts, and numerous outreach ministries both locally and abroad. Visitors often remark on the warmth, hospitality, and genuine sense of family that characterizes the congregation. This spirit of unity in diversity remains one of God’s greatest blessings to our church and our remembrance of God’s leading gives us confidence as we move forward in faith.
As Ellen G. White reminds us:
We have nothing to fear for the future, except as we shall forget the way the Lord has led us, and His teaching in our past history.

As we look to the future, we remain committed to prayer, service, discipleship, and sharing the everlasting gospel. With gratitude for the past and faith in the future, we move forward together, using every resource God has entrusted to us to reach our community and prepare hearts for the soon return of Jesus Christ.
