The 28 Fundamental Beliefs
Below is a brief summary of the 28 Fundamental Beliefs of the Seventh‑day Adventist Church to help members and visitors quickly grasp what we teach and how these truths shape our faith, mission, and daily walk with Christ.

The Holy Scriptures
Belief No. 1
The Bible is God’s inspired and trustworthy Word, revealing His will, His character, and the truth needed for salvation. It is the foundation for all Christian belief and the guide for faith and life.

The Trinity
Beliefs No. 2-5
One God is revealed as three co‑eternal Persons—Father, Son, and Holy Spirit—united in love and purpose. The Father creates and sustains, Jesus the Son saves, and the Holy Spirit empowers and transforms.

Creation & Human Nature
Beliefs No. 6-7
God created the world in six days, ending with the creation of humanity in His image, but sin brought brokenness and separation from God. Through Christ and the Spirit, God works to restore His likeness in us.

The Great Controversy
Belief No. 8
Humanity is caught in a cosmic conflict between Christ and Satan over God’s character and authority. Though sin brought brokenness, Christ sustains His people, and God’s love will ultimately be vindicated.

Salvation By Faith
Beliefs No. 9 – 11
Through Jesus’ perfect life, sacrificial death, and victorious resurrection, God offers forgiveness, transformation, and eternal life to all who accept Him in faith and empowers us to grow in His grace.

The Church
Beliefs No. 12-14
God’s church is a united community of believers called to worship, serve, and share the gospel. In the last days, His remnant continues this mission in faithfulness, proclaiming Christ to all the world.

Baptism & Communion
Beliefs No. 15-16
Baptism unites us with Christ in forgiveness and new life, and Communion renews our faith in His saving sacrifice. Together they affirm our commitment to Jesus and strengthen our fellowship as His people.

Spiritual Gifts
Beliefs No. 17-18
The Holy Spirit equips every believer with spiritual gifts to strengthen the church and serve others. Among these is prophecy, which offers Spirit‑led guidance with Scripture as the final authority.

The Law & The Sabbath
Beliefs No. 19-20
God’s law reflects His character and guides our lives. Because we love Him and keep His commandments (John 14:15), we honour the seventh‑day Sabbath as His set‑apart day for rest, worship, and relationship.

Living In Christ
Beliefs No. 21-22
As God’s stewards, we use our time, abilities, and resources faithfully. In all we do, we seek Christlike living—choosing purity, health, modesty, and habits that honour God and bless others.

Marriage & Family
Belief No. 23
God created marriage as a lifelong union between one man and one woman, reflecting Christ’s love as they build a family, grow together in faith, nurture one another, and teach their children to follow the Lord.

The Second Coming
Beliefs No. 24-28
Revelation reveals that Christ ministers for us in heaven and will return one day to redeem His people. After the millennium, sin will end forever, and God will create a new earth where we shall live with Him.
